An Update from David Shumaker

This note begins a regular series to keep you up to date with what’s going on in the Embedded Librarians Caucus.

Since the caucus was formed and held its initial meeting in June, we’ve made a good deal of progress:

· Our official membership is now up to 67! Thank you all for supporting the caucus!

· Thanks to our hard-working communications team (Laura Williams, Nadine Anderson, and Jack Dale) we have a logo, a website, and a Twitter account. Check out the website at , and follow us on Twitter @slaembedded .

· We’re planning our first webinar on Dec. 15, featuring four members on “How To Get An Embedded Librarian Job”. Hold the date — details will be out soon.

What’s on your mind? What are your success strategies and challenges in developing your embedded role? Do you have an idea for a future webinar or other activity? I’d love to hear from you. Contact me at or . I look forward to hearing from you.
